Parent Information
We require that parents stay on the premises at all times. Parents who wish to observe Kids’ Court may do so from the upper level. By state law, we are unable to change diapers. Therefore, we ask that any diapers be changed in our locker rooms. We strongly recommend that children’s hands be washed immediately before entering Kids’ Court. Food is allowed in Kids’ Court with the exception of peanut butter, peanut products and mixed nuts. Bottles may be brought in for children under the age of two if necessary. Remember to label bags, bottles and cups (must be non-spill cups only).

First time at Kids’ Court?
If your child is new to Kids’ Court, bring a special toy to help them feel more at home and secure. Plan extra time to stay with your child until they feel comfortable. For the safety of your child, we only release children to the person who signs them into Kids’ Court.

Kid's Court Policies

Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made up to one month in advance through the childcare staff at 206-526-7664. Reservations for the evening hours must be made by 12:00 noon. If there are no reservations by noon, Kids’ Court will be closed for that evening. If there is space available, drop-ins can be accommodated for an additional $2.50 flat fee. It is considered a “drop-in” when there is less than a 30-minute notification.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 30 minutes prior to the reservation for morning reservations and by 12:00pm for evening reservations. Your account will be charged the amount due (for the time scheduled) if you fail to cancel your reservation by the above times. If you are going to be late please let us know. If you fail to show up (without proper cancellation notice) for your reserved time, your account will also be charged for the time scheduled.

Health Procedures
For the protection of other children as well as your own, please do not ask us to care for your child if they are ill or have any of the following symptoms; contagious virus, lethargic and cranky, fever within 24 hours, diarrhea and/or nausea, discharge from eyes or ears, profuse or light nasal discharge. Our childcare personnel reserve the right to refuse admittance of any ill children into Kids’ Court. If your child has been diagnosed with a contagious illness, please contact us as a precaution. This will allow us to notify other parents.

Kids’ Court Safety Rules
Children who attend Kids’ Court must have nails neatly trimmed. Small toys that can be a potential choking hazard to smaller children are prohibited at Kids’ Court.

Capacity & Age
We accept six to eight children in Kids’ Court per attendant. We accept a maximum of three infants at a time. Ages 6 weeks to 12 years old are welcome. Infants 6 weeks to children 15 months of age are allowed in Kids’ Court up to 2 hours to accommodate their special needs. For children older than 15 months, the maximum stay at Kids’ Court is four hours.

Personal Belongings
Please label all items brought into Kids’ Court.

Behavioral Problems
Children with behavioral problems are extremely disruptive for the entire group. These children, regretfully, cannot be accommodated.
