Seattle Athletic Club helps our members to teach their children about fitness by offering enjoyable physical activities in a safe and comfortable environment. Choose from aquatics, martial arts, yoga, fitness classes and sport camps designed specifically for our younger members.

We have a variety of swim lessons for ages ranging from 6 months old to three years in our Parent & Tot class, to our Youth Swim Conditining classes. Swim Team Prep
Youth Swim Conditioning ( formerly swim team prep )
Our Youth Swim Conditioning class prepares those swimmers who are at the “Ocra” level and above. Emphasis is placed on technique, strength, and endurance. Skills are introduced for children considering competitive swimming.

Youth Strength Training
Youth Strength Training
This course is required for all children under 16 years of age to use the weight and cardiovascular rooms. Trainers lead children 10-15 years of age through a series of 4 sessions to help teach the proper ways of weight and cardiovascular training, proper lifting technique, flexibility and range of movement, the basics of nutrition, and injury prevention. Youth Strength Training comes with a program manual, customized workout program and the ability to use the weight room equipment.

These yoga series incorporate poses and movement while traveling on imaginative journeys by utilizing themes, music, stories, games, and relaxation. We will focus on fun, play, and movement while introducing forms of yoga. Definitely not your average yoga class!
Youth Agility and Conditioning
Youth Agility and Conditioning
It is time to get away from the computer and Xbox and burn some energy! This class is geared for youths, ages 8 and up. The focus will be on agility, balance, flexibility, coordination and general strength and conditioning. Give your youth the tools and confidence necessary to face any fitness challenge or have them join any sport they like while creating the foundation of a healthy lifestyle.
Babysitting Training Class
Babysitting Training Class
We offer a babysitting prep class that will help prepare young adolescents to be safe and nurturing babysitters. Topics included are basic care, home and play safety, preventing accidents, emergency situations and scenario role play. They will also participate in a one-hour, hands-on training in our drop-off childcare that will allow your future babysitter time to practice their skills. Upon completion your adolescent will be Child & Infant CPR Certified and take home a binder full of great tools and resources they can reference at any time.

SAC to the Rescue is one of our most popular programs, which is essentially an emergency babysitting service offered anytime during regular Kid’s Court operating hours. This is great for when parents get into a bind and need alternative childcare.
