**UPDATE Saturday, March 12th**

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

As you are no doubt aware, the King County Indoor Face Mask mandate is set to expire on Saturday, March 12th.

King County has based this decision on the current downward hospitalization and case rates, high vaccination rates, and the most recent CDC guidance.  According to the CDC framework, King County is now classified at a “low COVID-19 community level”.

Consequently, beginning Saturday, March 12th, Face Masks will no longer be required for patrons within our facilities.

All Seattle Athletic Club staff will continue to wear Face Masks for the interim. Please also remember that the Club will continue to require proof of vaccination for entry into our facilities.

One of the wonderful things about our SAC community is that we respect and appreciate all of our individual differences. As we enter this new phase, we ask that all who enter continue to be respectful of others and their decision to continue to wear a Face Mask if they choose to do so.

The Club will also continue our quest to provide our community with one of the healthiest environments in the industry. The full list of our SAC Community Shield safety protocols and enhancements can be found here.

Thank you to our entire SAC community for their ongoing commitment to our policies and procedures throughout the entire pandemic. We deeply appreciate your support as we enter this new phase of reopening,

In health,
Seattle Athletic Club.

**UPDATE Tuesday, March 1st**

Attention Members and Guests,

Please be advised that the Seattle Athletic Club will continue the policy of requiring proof of vaccination for entry into our facilities at least for the immediate future.

How will the Club be administering the order?

  • All patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination to our Front Desk staff upon entry.

  • We will not keep or store this information. Rather, our staff will visually verify your proof of vaccination and enter a note on your Membership Account for future reference.

  • Once our staff has verified your proof of vaccination, you will not be required to show it again on subsequent visits.

What is considered proof of vaccination?

  • CDC COVID-19 vaccine record card or photo of vaccine card.

  • Printed certificate or QR code from MyIRMobile.com.

  • Other official immunization records including from your health care provider.

Please also note:

  • For those who cannot provide proof of vaccination, as an alternative, patrons will be able to show proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours.

We will continue to review and monitor our policies and restrictions over the next few months but will continue to proceed with an abundance of caution to ensure the safest possible environment for our community.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and compliance.

In health,

Seattle Athletic Club.

**UPDATE Tuesday, September 7th**

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

Please be advised that effective September 7th 2021, the King County Local Health Officer released a new Indoor Masking Order that included all indoor spaces that are open to the public (including gyms and exercise facilities) and applies to all persons within these facilities.

As a result, beginning Tuesday, September 7th, Face Masks will once again be required at all times within our facilities, regardless of activity or vaccination status.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance.

In health,

Seattle Athletic Club.

**UPDATE Monday, August 23rd**

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

As you are probably aware, on August 18th, Governor Inslee announced an expansion of the current indoor Face Mask mandate to include all individuals, regardless of vaccination status.

Therefore until further notice, beginning Monday, August 23rd, Face Masks will be required at all times within our facilities, regardless of vaccination status.

Please also note:

  • The State has not provided any exemption for people from the same household exercising together within a closed space (i.e. Squash court, Cycle Studio, etc.).
  • There is also no exemption provided for people (regardless of vaccination status) exercising alone within a closed space.
  • Face Masks are required on the pool/spa deck immediately up until the time you enter the water and immediately upon exit.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance. We could not be more grateful for the ongoing support that our community has provided to our club and its staff as we continue to rebuild and recover.

If there is anything we can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to let us know.

In health,

**UPDATE Monday July 12th**

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

On June 30th, Governor Inslee announced that Washington State has officially moved beyond the “Roadmap to Recovery” reopening plan and that the majority of State Mandated business restrictions have been removed.

Please rest assured that we will continue to be very mindful and deliberate as we move forward.  Our mindset is to gradually expand our access and availability whilst preserving the safest and most comfortable environment for our entire community.

With that said, we are excited to announce that beginning Monday, July 12th, the following series of updates will go into effect:

Room Reservations

  • Due to popular demand, we will continue to provide reservations for the majority of our workout spaces.

  • Due to popular demand, we will continue to provide reservations for the Virtual System within our Cycle Studio.

We also want to express our gratitude to our entire membership for your adherence and support of our recently updated Face Mask policy. As a reminder, fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a Face Mask if they provide proof of vaccination and wear a Club provided wristband while in the facility. Face Masks are still required for non-vaccinated individuals.

We could not be more grateful for the ongoing support that our community has provided to the Club as we continue to rebuild our Club and community. We are here to help in whatever capacity we are able and are excited to welcome you back into the Club.

**UPDATE Tuesday, June 29th**

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

As you are aware, the Indoor Face Mask Directive from the Public Health Officer for Seattle and King County is set to expire on June 29th, when 70% of residents 16 years of age and older will officially be considered fully vaccinated.

Consequently, beginning Tuesday, June 29th, fully vaccinated Members will not be required to wear a Face Mask within the Club if they:

  1. Show proof of vaccination to our Front Desk staff in the form of a photo or actual vaccination card.

    • Please note, we will not keep or store this information, rather we will simply make a note on your Membership Account for future reference.

  2. Upon verification of status, Members will then be provided with a silicone bracelet to wear inside the Club at all times.

  3. If Members cannot provide proof of vaccination or do not wear their bracelet, they will be required to wear a Face Mask.

Non-vaccinated Members will still be required to wear a Face Mask at all times within the facility. In addition, all Seattle Athletic Club staff will also continue to wear Face Masks for the interim.

One of the wonderful things about our SAC community is that we respect and appreciate all of our individual differences. As we begin this transition, we ask that we all continue to be respectful and kind to others and their decision to continue to wear a Face Mask if they choose to do so.

We are also excited for the upcoming announcement from Governor Inslee on June 30th regarding his commitment to reopen the State. Once we have received the updated Fitness Facility guidance, we will look to expand our available services and facilities as soon as we are able. Please rest assured that we will still proceed with an abundance of caution as our number one goal remains to protect and enhance the health and wellbeing of our entire SAC community.

It has been a long arduous journey and we sincerely thank our entire SAC community for their commitment and compliance to all of our policies and procedures throughout this pandemic. There is light at the end of the tunnel and we appreciate the ongoing support as we enter this final stretch.

In health,
Seattle Athletic Club.
