Dear Member,

Earlier this week Governor Inslee released an update to the indoor fitness guidance as part of Washington's Safe Start phased reopening plan.

As a result, we have been working closely with the State and County over the past few days to assess and update our available services and amenities within the newly updated proclamation.

The major updates to our restrictions and requirements include:
         ● All facilities must provide a minimum of 300 square feet of spacing per person.
         ● The new guidance removes the restriction on independent fitness training by allowing fitness and sports training other than group
            fitness classes.
         ● Face masks are still required within the facility at all times. If the intensity level of exercise becomes too strenuous, we ask you to
manage and reduce your exertion level.
         ● A minimum of six feet of physical distance between individuals must be maintained at all times in all common areas.

The new guidance is effective on August 10th, 2020.

With that said, listed below are the required alterations to our available services and amenities within these new parameters.

Fitness
         ● Additional Cardio and Weight room reservation time slots will be available for members throughout the day.
         ● Per the state regulations requiring a minimum of 300 square feet of spacing per person, each room will be limited to the following                    capacity limits:
                  - Free Weight Room: 5 participants
                  - Cardio Room: 4 participants
         ● All reservations need to be pre-booked (through the Member portal, Club App or at the Front Desk).
         ● Each booking will be an hour in duration, with a 30-minute cleaning window in-between each session.
         ● Members are asked to limit their bookings to one per modality, per day.
         ● We are now able to remove the $10 weight room fee.
         ● We ask every member to remember to:
                  - Ensure proper social distancing at all times.
                  - Ensure you clean your equipment before/after each use.
         ● Equipment will be routinely sprayed with disinfectant via regular hydrostatic spraying.
         ● The equipment has been re-orientated within the facility to enable the required distancing.
         ● There will be restricted fan usage in Cardio and Weight rooms.

Group Exercise
         ● Per the state regulations requiring a minimum of 300 square feet of distancing per person, the following rooms will have the                            participant capacity limits of:

------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Seattle Athletic Club Member,

Over the past few weeks, we have been working closely with the State and County to continually assess and update our available amenities with the ongoing amendments to the Governors Safe Start proclamation. Please take note of our current business hours as well as our updated services and amenities that are currently available. Unfortunately, unsupervised general Club use will not be permitted during this stage.

  • Limited operating hours: Weekdays: 7:00am-8:00pm │ Weekends: 9:00am-3:00pm
  • What will be available: Group-X classes with a maximum of 5 participants, 1:1 Fitness, Pilates and Squash lessons, Cardio / Basketball and Weight Room reservation (5 spots max). The Group-X schedule can be found on our websites located here:

  • In addition, we received confirmation from the Governor’s office that the access restriction on “high-risk” clients has been retracted. High–risk individuals were previously defined as “…people over the age of 65, people with serious underlying medical conditions like chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma and people who are immunocompromised”. Once again, this group is now able to access the Club's facilities and services in Phase 2.
  • For those who plan to remain home for a while, we will continue offering our virtual training options.
  • Membership dues will remain on hold during Phase 2, as general unsupervised Club access is still restricted. The hold fee (⅓ of your current dues rate) will keep your membership in good standing.
